Top 5 Games We Love To Play On The Amazon Alexa Device

Updated: Sep 25, 2020

If you haven’t yet got yourself an Amazon Alexa device, then you’re missing out on heaps of addictive and fun quirky games to play with a group of friends or family. Some are based on our favourite TV game shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Pointless and others. There are storytelling games where Alexa narrates the story and prompts you by asking questions and give clues that you need to answer to direct the outcome of the game.

I’ve Rounded Up the Top Alexa Games We Enjoy Playing As A family -

Begin all games by saying the wake word, followed by the name of the game, so for example you’ll say "Alexa, Let’s Play Magic Door".

The game begins with the sound of a creaky door opening that will lead you into one of the most popular interactive adventure games on the Alexa device. Explore an enchanted land that includes magical creatures and hidden items while you delve into the stories and solve mysteries along the way!

The game uses a combination of sound effects and storytelling, narrated by Alexa to help paint a vivid picture leading you through a mini series of events to create an immersive experience. Everyone can get involved by taking turns to cue Alexa as to what should happen next in the story as you control the outcome.

This is a really fun game to play that involves music as the title suggests. In the game, you need to guess the titles of your favourite songs from the past 60 years.

You have to guess the correct title and artist to win points. You can play up to to 4 players and challenge friends and family in live competitions or compete head to head against music fans across the country, so you always have someone to play with. You get to choose songs from the following -

Pop music from every decade: From the 60s all the way up to the 2010s. This month’s featured playlist - based on current pop songs.

You can also become a Song Quiz VIP and sign up for the subscription to get access to thousands of more songs, exclusive playlists, plus brand new music every month. Honestly though, I think the selection is enough to start you off with.

If your little shindig is turning out to be a bit of a damp squib, then it’s time to break out “Would You Rather?”

With this game, you can turn any social gathering into an adequately enjoyable fun time.

You can discover surprising and perhaps some unexpected things about the person sitting next to you with questions such as:

Would you rather not be able to write again or have slow internet for the rest of your life?

Would you rather be attractive with a silly voice or normal looking with a normal voice?

Would you rather have hair covering your entire body… or be completely bald?

Would you rather lose your sense of taste... or your sense of smell?

Amazon is always adding new questions and there are hundreds to keep you going for a long time.

This is a very popular TV quiz game and it’s now available on all Alexa devices too.

The aim of the game is to score the lowest number of points as possible and to do this, you must find the most obscure correct answer, just like the game show.

The producers will have asked 100 people the same questions. So, you have to say not only a correct answer but also the answer that the fewest of the 100 people said - make sense? So you need to give the least popular answer to questions being asked in order to win.

So if for example, if no-one from our 100 people answered it - that’s a Pointless Answer and scores you nothing and if you get it wrong you score the full 100 points!

You can play a new Daily Quiz every day. There are also lots of new features added, such as multiplayer, final round, and Random Quiz.

This has to be one of the most popular game shows in the world and Amazon has brought it to the Alexa device for fans of the show everywhere to enjoy in their homes with friends and family.

The game needs no introduction.

While you can't win any money, you will be faced with 15 new questions seven days a week that will allow you to rake up points and climb nationwide rankings, so there is a big incentive to play if you are something of a superfan.
